May is Healthy Vision Month
During the month of May, we are reminding all our patients to have an eye exam if they haven’t done so in the last year. Millions of people in the United States have undetected vision problems that can cause vision loss or blindness, according to the National Eye Institute. Unfortunately, many eye diseases have no early warnings signs or symptoms, so you may be affected without even noticing it.
In addition to being able to see your best, healthy vision can help keep you safe when you are behind the wheel, while you are participating in sports, or during recreational activities. It can also help you perform your best on the job, and ensure that you maintain a healthy and active lifestyle well into your golden years.
We recommend that you make it a top priority on your “to-do” list to have an eye exam at least once a year. Detecting eye diseases in their early stages can help save your sight. Take care of your eyes and they will help take care of you. Call our office today to schedule your comprehensive eye exam, if you have not done so in the last year.
Let’s celebrate Healthy Vision Month together! No effort is too small when encouraging people to make their vision last a lifetime.
