Dry Eye Treatment
at Li & Liao Optometry
What Is Dry Eye Syndrome?
Dry eye syndrome is a common, yet uncomfortable condition where your eyes are either not producing enough tears or are producing low-quality tears. This leaves your eyes feeling itchy, dried out, and can make them watery, red-looking, and even blur your vision. Dry eye syndrome has a few different causes, but our team at Li & Liao Optometry works to identify the exact root cause of your issue and eliminate your symptoms quickly with our dry eye treatments.

We Provide Relief from
Dry Eye Syndrome
As your partner in eye care, we want to help you see clearly and comfortably, without dry eyes. Our advanced diagnostic technology can help us locate the source of your symptoms, and then our doctors will recommend the best dry eye syndrome treatment for your needs for lasting relief.
Dry Eyes Treatment Options
Our doctors are compassionate providers who want to not only identify what’s causing your dry eye syndrome, but also make sure you understand what’s happening and why. We’ll walk you through our diagnosis, curate your options, and work with you to help protect your eyes now and for years to come!
TEARCARE®
The TearCare® System is designed to provide relief for dry eye patients who have meibomian gland dysfunction, a condition where the glands responsible for providing your tears with oil are clogged or blocked. TearCare® uses localized bursts of heat to gently express the meibomian glands, clearing up any blockage and restoring proper tear function to hydrate the eyes and resolve any irritation or dryness.
SMART DRY EYE DIAGNOSIS
The only way to properly treat your case of dry eye is by pinpointing its root cause. Our doctors do this using the OCULUS Keratograph® 5M — an advanced corneal topographer, color camera, and meibomian gland imager. This advanced piece of technology allows us to map the surface of your eye, analyze your tear film and lipid layer, and take pictures of your meibomian glands, all of which impact your ability to produce high-quality tears. And as part of our commitment to patient education, we can also use the OCULUS Keratograph® 5M to show you clear pictures of your dry eye’s source as we walk you through your treatment plan.
EYE LID SCRUBS
We offer medicated eyelid scrubs to treat your dry eye and help you maintain good eye area hygiene. These clean away dirt and debris that can clog your eyes’ tear ducts and oil glands which cause conditions like blepharitis — or eyelid inflammation — that often lead to dry eye symptoms.
Topical Eye Drops
To treat certain cases of dry eye disease, we offer restorative eye drops that effectively lubricate and hydrate your eyes. Our doctors will work with you to pinpoint the cause of your dry eye and determine which of our eye drops can bring you instant relief. We have eye drops that are specifically designed to provide and retain moisture, resulting in long-lasting, comfortable vision.
SUPPLEMENTS
Our knowledgeable doctors also recommend specialty supplements and vitamins to help manage your dry eye and relieve your symptoms. We have years of experience matching patients to specific supplements based on their case, and we’ll follow up to make sure your treatment is as effective as possible.

Why Choose Us for Dry Eye Syndrome Treatment?

TESTIMONIALS

– Julia U.

“This place is the BEST. They were recommended to me by a friend and it was the best choice I made for my sons optometrist. He’s been going there for 3 yrs now. They have the most kind and caring Drs. Dr. Li & Dr. Chao are very knowledgeable and that makes them amazing. Dr. Chao raised concerns about an abnormality she noticed in my sons optic images that changed our lives for ever. My son almost lost his eyesight but because of her quick thinking he was referred to an ER for further eval. He received the treatment he needed and his eyesight is almost completely back to normal. I can’t thank them enough for what they have done. Thank you to everyone at Dr. Li & Liao Optometry.”
